IGLA Ball
World Pride 2025 Event at 9:30 Club
IGLA hosted their athletes from around the world for World Pride 2025, and wanted our help showing off their talents at the closing ball & dance party at the 9:30 club.
We wanted to fill the fairly large stage with a setup that would be visible throughout the venue, but still allow us to show dozens of different athletes at once. To accomplish this, we brought in 12 large panels and suspended them from a series of tripods around the DJ and stage. We used rear-projection to light them, in concert with a larger higher screen already in place at the venue.
To make the footage, we visited the events in the days leading up to the ball and filmed both the water polo and the artistic swimming events. We focused on closeups and slow-motion video so that the athletes would be able to recognize themselves during the party. We ended up making almost 100 unique clips showing them off.
